PRODUCT SPECIALIST & SALES (English Speaking Africa) – LOCATION JOHANNESBURG

INFECTION CONTROL SOLUTIONS + SURGICAL TABLES AND LIGHTS.   The primary role is to engage a Distribution Network and actively work with them in 15 different English-speaking regions in Africa to promote sales/product line (coordinating between the end-customers, distributors and factory).  Report to the Sales Director
1 Min 5 years’ experience in sales (medical devices) managing Distributors
2 Previous work experience in Africa markets
3 Able to travel extensively (Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, Ghana)
4 Knowledge of Operating Room Tables, Surgical Lights, Infection Control (CSSD) Equipment an advantage
5 Tertiary education required (relevant to the position)
6 MS Office skills should be excellent
7 Fluent in English, top communication skills needed

Essential Responsibilities:
1. regular business reviews with distributors (to ensure product line prioritised)
2. prepare and execute annual country action plans
3. prepare monthly roller order/sales forecasting
4. Visit clients throughout Africa with Distributors
5. Arrange training (sales and clinical/technical)
6. Maintain the market / product databases

The client, local medium sized business, has approximately 20 agencies they represent from abroad (this is an existing and established company).  They wish to chat with medical sales individuals who have customer relations in the Neuro Ortho sector OR Endoscopy / Uro / Gynae / ENT / Ophthalmology customer relations selling medical capital equipment.   For example some machines include microscopes, CT scanners, specialized surgical tables, endoscopy surgical devices and more.   The salary range is between R30-50,000 tctc excluding incentives.  Own car required.  Customer base is key, critical, to applying.   Email capex@career2000.co.za

OFFICE BASED POSITION – DIPLOMA OR DEGREE IN SUPPLY CHAIN / LOGISTICS OR ACCOUNTING (NOT FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT)

(INTERN) – PROCUREMENT AND PLANNING DEPARTMENT (a learnership)

*** 2 year learnership, fixed term contract *** with a view to be hired permanently ***

  • Payment will be between R12-15,000 pm student stiped before tax and uif deductions
  • (no benefits until hired permanent then medical aid and a retirement fund contribution)

What is required

  1. Diploma or Degree (either Supply Chain / Logistics / Accounting but not Financial Management)
  2. Own car essential (non-negotiable)
  3. Valid driving license
  4. Must live within 40-45 min drive of Modderfontein
  5. Pure Mathematics in high school
  6. Fluency in English to deal with clients on the telephone
  7. Good telephone manner
  8. Advanced Excel skills to work on massive spreadsheets (good with formula’s)
  9. Able to work under pressure
  10. Able to lift heavy boxes and unpack stock (medical instruments, implants) and load them onto the CRM system
  11. Must be able to work with the Warehouse every 6-8 weeks and stay late to assist with stock take inventory
  12. Team player
  13. Must come with a mindset of a career and be willing to learn
  14. The client will hire someone with a view to making this a permanent position after 2 years training (performance based)
  15. Ideal for a person who is good with formula’s on excel, can learn fast, can work quickly, stay calm under pressure
  16. This company is in the medical device industry, over 30 years in existence
  17. They stay open 365 days of the year, 24/7 to supply medical implants and trauma instruments to their customers (surgeons at a hospital)
  18. This job is normal working hours, after hours for stock take with the Warehouse is required from time to time OR if a shipment from overseas arrives at 4pm and needs to be loaded onto the system for urgent transportation and despatch to the hospital, one needs to complete the emergency task before leaving
  19. The world of orthopedics is never a dull moment, fast paced, always moving
  20. Must be keen to be in an office filled with lots of activity
